First off, under the laughing gas, I remember thinking that anyone who decides they want to be an oral surgeon has to be a special kind of person…and I mean that in the best way. This was my first time using laughing gas, and I was really nervous going in, especially because I’m scared of needles. I’m so glad I did it. I felt calm, relaxed, and completely at ease throughout the process. The doctor’s bedside manner was hands down the best I’ve ever experienced, and his assistant was just as amazing. They were patient, reassuring, and made me feel so comfortable that I honestly just wanted to close my eyes and rest. My appointment with Dr. Chionchio was supposed to be the next day, but when I came to his office in severe pain, he took me between cases and gave up his break to treat me. That alone says everything about his character and dedication. He is kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and communicates clearly. He explained the situation, the procedure, and what to expect in a way that made me feel informed and safe. The staff is also very welcoming, patient, and organized, which made the entire experience smoother during a stressful time.
